Windstream Selects Goodman Networks as a preferred FttT Supplier

Plano, Texas (April 20, 2012) – Goodman Networks Inc., a leader in the design, engineering, deployment, integration and maintenance of wireless networks in the United States, announced today it has been selected by Windstream Corp. as a preferred supplier to help deploy Fiber to the Tower (FttT) solutions.

Goodman is working with Windstream to deliver fiber connectivity from Windstream’s network to the cellular towers of leading wireless service providers, providing the backhaul bandwidth required for LTE/4G growth. Goodman Networks’ solutions help Windstream meet budget goals by creating efficient processes and program planning between Windstream and its customers. These efficiencies not only lower deployment costs but also reduce Windstream’s carbon footprint by decreasing the number of trips required to provide needed bandwidth.

Josh Shipman, EVP of Sales and Business Development at Goodman Networks, was quoted, “We believe that Windstream’s leading-edge FttT solution provides wireless carriers a unique ability to meet their growing need for wireless backhaul. We share many of the same wireless customers as Windstream and look forward to helping them deliver this technology to these customers.”
